Biology for my pre-schoolers: Earthworms!

Observing my learners

I'm thoroughly convinced that one of the best things I can do for my kids is let them wonder around outdoors and do whatever they want.  One sunny afternoon, my son began collecting creatures.  A snail, an earthworm for him, and earth worm for his sister.

  1. Great ideas! My kids loved learning science in preschool. In grades 1 and 2 they didn't have much class time for science, thanks to NCLB.

I'm visiting from We Teach. And I'll be looking for the lady bug book. Thanks!

    1. Thank you for the encouragement! Early elementary teachers have my sympathy, it seems they are expected to work magic.

It looks like the book is available through scholastic, and it can be picked up on Amazon used. Here's the link. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ladybugology
