Observing my learners
I'm thoroughly convinced that one of the best things I can do for my kids is let them wonder around outdoors and do whatever they want. One sunny afternoon, my son began collecting creatures. A snail, an earthworm for him, and earth worm for his sister.
Great ideas! My kids loved learning science in preschool. In grades 1 and 2 they didn't have much class time for science, thanks to NCLB.

Thank you for the encouragement! Early elementary teachers have my sympathy, it seems they are expected to work magic.
